1976. PhD (English) Nottingham, 1981. Moved to London in 1977. Worked
for various publishers, then as a journalist. Deputy editor RIBA
Journal, 1980-85. In 1985 joined London-based independent production
company Mirageland Ltd. In 1990, founded independent film producers
