Biography

Fred Troller was born on December 12, 1930 in Zürich, Kanton Zürich, Switzerland. He was married to Beatrice Troller. He died on October 11, 2002 in Rye, New York, USA.

At time of death, he was chairman of the design department of the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, Alfred, New York.

Director of design who helped popularize a minimalist typographic style called Swiss New Typography in the United States in the 1960s.
