His mother was Katherine Trendler, soprano and owner of Westwood Conservatory, Westwood, Cincinnati.

Bob Trendler's WGN band appeared regularly on "Club Television. A 1948 television show that was broadcast on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. The WGN band consisted of 8 to 17 men musicians.
