Biography

According to clothing designer Valentino Garavani, he became romantically involved with Tolo in 1960, when she was 17 and he was 27. He proposed to her but she rejected him. She later married a multi-millionaire and had homes in Mexico and Los Angeles. They remained in contact and occasionally exchanged holiday greetings.

Lived in a large apartment at the Faubourg Saint-Honoree, Paris.

Actress and fashion model who began her career as an assistant to Mario Riva in the RAI variety show Il Musichiere and made her screen debut at the age of 16.

Tall and elegant, with a classic beauty and large, clear eyes, Marilù Tolo immediately began to be in great demand on the set. In the Sixties, she starred in around thirty films, mainly belonging to genre cinema ( peplum - five titles in 1964 alone -, spaghetti westerns , horror and spy films , Italian comedies ).

In the early 1980s she returned from the USA to Italy, significantly reducing her presence on the screens. The last films in which she took part were "Il tassinaro" (1983), alongside Alberto Sordi , and "Vacanze di Natale" by Carlo Vanzina (1983).
