Kató Timár was born on 23 October 1906 in Szolnok, Austria-Hungary [now Hungary]. She was an actress and writer, known for Édes ellenfél (1941), Bercsenyi huszárok (1940) and Elnémult harangok (1940). She was married to Frigyes Bán. She died on 23 November 2002 in Budapest, Hungary.
