- Hans Tiemeijer was born on January 28, 1908 in The Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. He was an actor and writer, known for Hughie (1963), De postmeester (1965) and Spy in the Sky! (1958). He was married to Ans Koppen. He died on October 8, 1997 in Sneek, Friesland, Netherlands.

- Dutch stage-actor,who started his stage-career in 1926. He won the Dutch stage-prize "the Louis d'or" in 1969 for his performance in "Hendrik the 4th". He was married twice, both to actresses, Ans koppen and Tine de Vries.
- In 1965, Tiemeijer published his memoirs, "Spelen met je leven - Mensen die ik heb gekend." In this book, he shares his memories of the two world wars and his experiences in Camp Vught and Dachau.
- After the war, Tiemeijer played Mr. van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank. The performance, directed by Karl Guttmann, with Martine Crefcoeur as Anne Frank and Rob de Vries as her father, made a great impression on the audience at the time, who left the hall without applause and whispering.
- In 1967, Tiemeijer received the Golden Letter from the Queen's Commissioner. This award was presented annually to someone who had made a significant contribution to Dutch youth. The recognition was due, among other things, to his activities in establishing the Youth Festival in Velp.
- Tiemeijer received the Bouwmeesterpenning (=Dutch Theatre Award, awarded to the best male supporting role) for his acting achievements in 1959.
