Biography

Storm Thorgerson was born on February 28, 1944 in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, England, UK. He was a director and writer, known for Pink Floyd: Learning to Fly (1987), Drug-Taking and the Arts (1993) and Yes: Owner of a Lonely Heart (1983). He was married to Barbie Antonis. He died on April 18, 2013 in London, England, UK.

A founding member of the English design group Hipgnosis, responsible for many famous record album covers, most notably those by Pink Floyd: "Dark Side of the Moon", "Wish You Were Here", "Atom Heart Mother", et al.

Received B.A. from Leicester University, 1966, and M.A. from Royal College of Art, London, 1969.

Has a son with Libby January.
