Trivia

  • Producer/Director/Writer of Evangelical Christian films. Best known for his "Rapture" series of four low budget films which combined Biblical "End Times" prophecy (from a strictly "Pre-Tribulaion" viewpoint) with science fiction, a full generation before Tim LaHaye's "Left Behind" series of novels and films. The film series begins with the Rapture-themed _Thief In the Night, A (1972)_, continues with the Tribulation-themed A Distant Thunder (1978) and Image of the Beast (1981), and the Second Coming finally arrives with The Prodigal Planet (1983). Most of his films were previously seen only in churches or as part of missionary crusades, but with the introduction of home video, his works are now widely sold in Christian bookstores. With the advancement of DVDs, his works are now widely distributed around the world with multiple language soundtracks.
