  • Acted in silent films, frequently opposite actresses Henny Porten and Ossi Oswalda. With the advent of sound, he tended to appear in musical comedy and operettas, various times in tandem with star Renate Mueller.
  • Hermann Thimig made his film debut in 1916 with "Die Gräfin Heyers". He soon was assigned to reserved characters which were either shy, loveable or dreamy.
