Biography

Joanna Theobalds has been a commercial, film, voice-over and stage actor for the past 15 years. Both her parents are former high school drama teachers and met during a school theater production. Joanna was born in Kingston, Jamaica and grew up in Dorset, England. Shortly after her second birthday, she wandered away from her parents in London Zoo and was found inside the giraffe cage (no one knows how she got there) making friends with a baby giraffe. That night she received her first 'giraffette' gift. Joanna returned to Jamaica to finish high school and then spent her college years in Florida dabbling in commercials and film, finally focusing on theater acting and teaching for the next 10 years. She now resides in Los Angeles with a wise old beloved Shetland sheepdog named Kenya and her collection of over 200 giraffettes.

Joanna was named after the character played by Katharine Houghton in the original Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967).
