Vijay Tendulkar was born on 6 January 1928 in Kolhapur, Bombay Presidency, British India. He was a writer and actor, known for Aakrosh (1980), Manthan (1976) and Ardh Satya (1983). He was married to Nirmala Tendulkar. He died on 19 May 2008 in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
