Paola Tedesco in Watch Me When I Kill (1977)

Trivia

Paola Tedesco

  • In 1981, during an Italian promotional tour for Raging Bull (1980), Robert De Niro saw Paola in an episode of the mini-series La felicità (1981). Impressed by her beauty and talent, he suggested her to try her luck in Hollywood by auditioning for a role, but the offer led to no developments.
  • Daughter of actor Sergio Tedesco, sister of producer Maurizio Tedesco.
  • Also a singer and trained dancer. She achieved great popularity in Italy as co-host of the quiz-show "Colpo di Fortuna" where she sang the opening credits as well as frequently performing musical numbers inside the episodes. She also appeared in several musical comedies on stage and TV, notably in the works of the noted duo of Pietro Garinei and Sandro Giovannini.
  • Her final appearance in a live action film was in I Hate Blondes (1980). Since then, she retired from film on focus on stage work and follow her father's footsteps as an active voice actress.
  • Posed naked for the 1976 Italian editions of Playboy and Playmen.
  • Released several singles in the 1970's.
  • Always called herself dissatisfied with her film career, thinking she was only offered roles to showcase her glamour rather than challenging her acting skills.
  • Miss Roma 1969. Finalist for the title of Miss Italia 1969.
  • Was in a long relationship with playwright Enrico Vaime, whom she called "the great love of her life".
