Peter Taylor was born on February 28, 1922 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England, UK. He was an editor, known for The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), The Third Man (1949) and Summertime (1955). He was married to Elizabeth Holden and Franca Silvi. He died on December 17, 1997 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.

Distinguished British editor, often in collaboration with David Lean. Best known for his work on The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957).
