Biography

Gwen Taylor was born on February 19, 1939 in Derby, Derbyshire, England, UK. She is an actress, known for Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979), The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash (1978) and A Bit of a Do (1989). She has been married to Graham Reid since 1996. She was previously married to Frederick Blount.

Was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014, undergoing a lumpectomy and three weeks of radiotherapy. She went on to make a full recovery.

Worked as a bank clerk before turning to acting.

Is an avid collector of ceramic pigs.

Has three stepchildren and two grandchildren.

[on acting, 2011] As long as you don't lose your marbles, you can do it forever. It keeps me feeling young. I've always looked younger than my age, which isn't always the best thing in this profession, especially if they're looking for someone to play a toothless old crone!
