Biography

Dwight Taylor was born on January 1, 1903 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer and producer, known for Pickup on South Street (1953), Top Hat (1935) and The Gay Divorcee (1934). He was married to Marigold Lockhart Langworthy and Natalie Visart. He died on December 31, 1986 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.

One of the first 'Talk of the Town' editors for The New Yorker. Later a noted novelist, playwright and screenwriter.

Co-founder and one-time president of the Writer's Guild of America, West.

Son of actress Laurette Taylor and playwright/producer Charles A. Taylor; stepson of J. Hartley Manners.
