- Imam Tantowi was born on August 13, 1946 in Tegal, Pekalongan, Dutch East Indies [now Tegal, Central Java, Indonesia]. He was a writer and director, known for The Sinking of Van Der Wijck (2013), Angling Dharma (2000) and Pembalasan si mata elang (1989). He died on August 21, 2026.
