Biography

Tony Tanner was born on July 27, 1932 in Hillingdon, Middlesex, England, UK. He was an actor and director, known for Stop the World: I Want to Get Off (1966), Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993) and The Pleasure Girls (1965). He was married to Henry Selvitelle. He died on September 8, 2020 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

In 1982, received two Tony Award nominations for "Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat": as Best Director (Musical) and Best Choreographer.

Graduated from the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art where he was awarded the Douglas Cup.
