- Senkichi Taniguchi was born on February 19, 1912 in Tokyo, Japan. He was a director and writer, known for A Man in the Storm (1957), Swift Current (1952) and The Sound of Waves (1954). He was married to Kaoru Yachigusa, Setsuko Wakayama and Yōko Mizuki. He died on October 29, 2007 in Tokyo, Japan.
