Masaki Tamura was born in 1939 in Hirosaki, Aomori, Japan. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Farewell to the Land (1982), Tampopo (1985) and Fire Festival (1985). He died on 23 May 2018 in Tokyo, Japan.
