Yô Takeyama was born on 28 July 1946 in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. He was a writer, known for The Last Samurai (2003), 47 Ronin (1994) and The Firefly (2001). He died on 12 April 2023 in Tokyo, Japan.
