Bess Taffel was born on December 10, 1913 in New York City, New York, USA. She was a writer, known for Marcus Welby, M.D. (1969), A Likely Story (1947) and True to Life (1943). She was married to Robert F. Boyle. She died on July 21, 2000 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Joined Communist Party around 1940. Named by Leo Townsend before the HCUAA in 1951. Refused to name names in turn and ceased to work in Hollywood thereafter.
