He is the Hungarian voice of Captain Sisko in Star Trek: DS9. He is the Hungarian voice of Tom Selleck in Magnum.

In 1991 he became a member of the National Theatre. Later, he worked as a freelancer.

He considered himself a "figure-shifting" actor: he did not shape the roles for himself, but rather hid in them. This special ability to transform himself made his performances memorable on the stage of the Comedy Theatre — whether for a few scenes or in larger roles

As a founding member of the Rock Theatre , he sang the role of Tigellinus in the premiere of the first Hungarian rock opera, Sztárcsinálók .

Sándor Sörös graduated from the Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in 1974 in Zoltán Várkonyi's class. Before that, he performed for two years at the Pinceszínház with Sándor Szakácsi and Éva Szerencsi — eighty performances in a season in front of full houses.

The Szynkron Alapsorzeze of the Theatre Workers' Trade Union (SzíDoSz) awarded him the Fényhang Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes the excellence of the Hungarian dubbing profession, for his outstanding achievements in 2025.

In addition to his theatrical work, Sándor Sörös was also a busy dubbing actor. He regularly dubbed the films of Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis and Jeff Bridges.

Sándor Sörös was a Lajos Oze Award-winning and Fényhang Lifetime Achievement Award-winning actor.

He was not a loud actor, but sensitive, precise and deeply human. His career was accompanied by the desire to prove himself and the joy of playing. In an interview, he said of his first major role: "This role, in football terms: a pure penalty. You just have to kick it now." This belief in the work, this childlike excitement and discipline accompanied his entire career.

He was a member of the Vígszínház for 16 years between 1974 and 1990. During this time he appeared on stage in almost 40 roles, including memorable performances such as An Imaginary Report on an American Pop Festival, The Mason Kelemen, I'm 30, The Trap of 22, Sanda the Clown, The Visit of the Old Lady, The Dream Commando, or As We Do.
