Harold Sylvester was born on February 10, 1949 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for Innerspace (1987), Uncommon Valor (1983) and An Officer and a Gentleman (1982). He has been married to Kathleen Dunn since 1970. They have two children.

In 2014 Harold donated many of his personal papers spanning forty years of acting, theatre and early sports career to the Tulane University (Amistad Research Center).
