Michael James Dominic Sweeney was born in Bournemouth, Dorset, England, UK, on February 7th, 1955. He moved to London with his parents, along with two brothers and a sister, when he was 11 years old. He became interested in theatre and improvisation while attending an all-boys Catholic school (Clapham College). He has appeared on several TV shows, including Paul Merton in Galton and Simpson's... (1996), Blackadder the Third (1987), Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1988), and Kiss Me Kate (1998). He has done several radio works as well, and has been working at the Comedy Store since 1992. He resides in Wimbledon with his girlfriend and his two daughters.
