Dan Svátek was born on 29 October 1975 in Dacice, Czechoslovakia. He is a director and writer, known for The Smiles of Sad Men (2018), Zacátek sveta (2000) and Zatracení (2002). He has been married to Vlastina Svátková since 3 September 2005. They have two children.
