Eva Švankmajerová was born on 25 September 1940 in Kostelec nad Cernými lesy, Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia [now Czech Republic]. She was an art director and production designer, known for Little Otik (2000), Lunacy (2005) and Faust (1994). She was married to Jan Švankmajer. She died on 20 October 2005 in Prague, Czech Republic.
