Carol Sutton was born on December 3, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. She was an actress, known for Steel Magnolias (1989), Ray (2004) and Monster's Ball (2001). She was married to Archie Sutton. She died on December 10, 2020 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

She made her acting debut in the late 1960s in Dashiki Project Theatre productions in New Orleans. Later, she directed several Dashiki productions.

She is interred at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She was a lifelong Democrat.

Has two children: one son Archie Jr, and one daughter Aunya and five grandchildren.
