- Max Surla was nominated in 2015 for his first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Music Direction and Composition for his work on ABC's "Born to Explore". He is the recipient of the 2016 Telly Composer Award for for his work on "Born to Explore: Secrets of the Sahara".
He studied with John Corigliano at Manhattan School of Music where he earned his Master in Composition.
For over 20 years now, Max has worked as a composer and has worked on over 100 television shows and films to his credit.
