Biography

Bjørn Sundquist was born on June 16, 1948 in Hammerfest, Norway. He is an actor, known for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013), Dead Snow (2009) and Dykket (1989).

Considered by many to be Norway's finest and most talented actor of stage, screen and television.

When he received the Honorary Amanda Award (Norway's Oscar) in 2000, he became the youngest ever recipient of the greatest honor in Norwegian film. He was 52 at the time and only a few months younger than Liv Ullmann, who received it in 1992.

Is of sami heritage on his mothers side (a minority originating mainly from the northern parts of the Scandinavian peninsula often referred to as Lapland).
