Biography

Danny Sugerman was born on October 11, 1954 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was a producer and writer, known for The Doors (1991), The Doors: Live in Europe 1968 (1990) and The Doors: The Soft Parade (1991). He was married to Fawn Hall. He died on January 5, 2005 in West Hollywood, California, USA.

He was the longtime manager of The Doors. He began his association with the Doors when he was 14. He also had a long association with Iggy Pop.

He chronicled his time with The Doors in his book "Wonderland Ave." and co-wrote with Jerry Hopkins the Jim Morrison bio "No One Here Gets Out Alive."

Considered Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors, as a surrogate father.

His widow, Fawn Hall, became a central character during the investigation that was conducted by the U.S. Congress into the Iran-Contra scandal. She was secretary to U.S. Lt. Col. Oliver North, one of the central figures and major players in the scandal.
