Despoina Stylianopoulou was a Greek actress best known for her strong presence in comedic roles during the golden era of Greek cinema, where she built a recognizable screen identity through vivid character work and sharp timing. After studying voice at the Hellenic Conservatory and acting under Dimitris Rontiris, she began her film career in the early 1960s and quickly became associated with supporting roles that often portrayed lively, outspoken working-class women, frequently drawing humor from dialect and everyday situations.
