- He once played a small role in the X-Files. Two days prior to the shoot, he broke his foot. He refused to have a cast put on fearing he would lose the job and shot the scene over two days with a broken foot.

- He has completely taken apart the engine of a Ford Fiesta and rebuilt it using only a socket wrench, screwdriver and sandpaper.
- The commercial he starred in for the Schizophrenia Society of British Columbia won Gold at the 2003 Toronto International Advertizing Awards. It was also chosen second out of 33 countries at the Mobius Awards for outstanding creativity. It also won the B.C. Broadcasters Humanitarian Award for 2004.
