Biography

David Stuart

Mini bio

  • Bringing further perspective to a career distinguished by success in marketing, interactive media, event, television, and feature film production, David Stuart founded Flatplanet Films In 2008, to offer filmmakers, businesses and non-profits high quality, affordable, narrative-driven solutions to a changing media landscape.

David is also the founder of Project Right Angle - a non-profit organization leading the transformation from messages that spur "send and forget" donations, into an ongoing advocacy organization. Through Project Right Angle Stuart seeks to grow public awareness about neurodegenerative diseases through the power of narrative filmed entertainment and the Internet.

His online media experience began in the early 1990's at Internet pioneer Prodigy Services Company (IBM). There Stuart worked with top companies, nationwide developing market strategies, and branded, interactive content that told stories, involved audiences, and formed communities.

As a producer David's work has included commercials, music videos, award-winning specials for networks like A&E, and feature films such as Washington Heights, Screen Door Jesus and Welcome To Academia. His work has screened at festivals around the world, been seen on television, and in theaters, and includes pro bono work for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Children's Miracle Network.

David lives and works in New York City.
