Biography

Barbara Stuart was born on January 3, 1930 in Paris, Illinois, USA. She was an actress, known for Bachelor Party (1984), Airplane! (1980) and One Step Beyond (1959). She was married to Dick Gautier. She died on May 15, 2011 in St. George, Utah, USA.

Best known for her role as Sergeant Carter's girlfriend "Bunny" on the Gomer Pyle: USMC (1964) sitcom.

Her sole marriage was as the second wife of singer-actor Dick Gautier; she had three stepchildren by the union: Chrissie, Randy and Denise Gauthier.

Vivacious blonde American actress, a prolific performer in TV westerns and sitcoms from 1954. After completing high school, she attended acting classes at the Schuster-Martin School of Drama in Cincinatti, subsequently continuing her training in New York, under Uta Hagen and Stella Adler. She financed her studies by working as a model on the side. Barbara got her first break when invited to join the touring company of Zero Mostel's comedy play, "Lunatics and Lovers". She made her screen debut in the cold war drama series, I Led 3 Lives (1953), and remained a much sought-after actress on the small screen for the next half a century.

Born on exactly the same date as Robert Loggia (of "Over the Top" and "An Officer & a Gentleman" fame).

Upon Barbara Stuart's death, she was cremated and her ashes were scattered.
