Biography

Devid Striesow was born on October 1, 1973 in Bergen auf Rügen, East Germany [now Germany]. He is an actor, known for All Quiet on the Western Front (2022), The Counterfeiters (2007) and 3 (2010). He has been married to Ines Ganzberger since December 2018. They have two children. He was previously married to Francine.

Studied acting at the Schauspielschule "Ernst Busch" in Berlin, graduating in 1999 together with Fritzi Haberlandt and Nina Hoss, his Yella (2007) co-star.

Chosen "Younger Actor of the Year" in 2004 by "Theater heute" magazine.

He has a son with actress Maria Simon.

Although his mother had won a talent show on East German television, she refused to study music because David's sister was severely ill.

His son with actress Maria Simon is actor Ludwig Simon. .
