Biography

John Street was born on July 1, 1914 in Guildford, Surrey, England, UK. He was a producer and director, known for The Max Wall Show (1956), Citizen James (1960) and A Christmas Night with the Stars (1958). He was married to Joan Johnstone. He died on November 13, 2008 in England.

Was recruited by Benny Hill in 1979 to edit his first ten years' worth of shows for Thames TV for US half-hour syndication, after previously working with Hill as producer of his BBC variety show from 1957 to 1961, and of his 1962-1963 BBC half-hour sitcom/anthology.
