Biography

In an interview, director Gianni Crea reports that Strano was seriously ill in the last years of his life and had returned to living in his hometown of Catania.

His father was a very popular poet in Sicily.

He was almost always listed as Dean Stratford in the cast list.

He acted in films directed by Demofilo Fidani and in Spaghetti Westerns until 1975. His name appears in film credits only a few more times after that. Among the westerns in which he appears, we can mention "Cjamango" (1967), "El Desperado" (The Mud, the Massacre and Death) (1967) or "Pray to the Dead, Kill the Living" (1971). Finally, with the decline of the genre in the second half of the 1970s, his screen appearances became less frequent. However, he appeared in three erotic productions in the 1980s: "Quando l'amore è oscenità" (1980), "Teresa altri desideri" (1983), and finally "Senza vergogna" (1986), which would be his last film. Since then, his trail has gone cold.

Dino Strano was an Italian actor and stuntman. He was at one time a paratrooper and he was part of an acrobatic team and before his film career he was a theatrical actor.
