Biography

William Stowell was born on March 13, 1885 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He was an actor, known for Fighting Mad (1917), Fires of Rebellion (1917) and A Doll's House (1917). He died on November 24, 1919 in Elizabethville, Belgian Congo.

He was critically injured in a train crash en route from Cape town, South Africa to Elizabethtown, Belgian Congo. He was on his way to a film location. He died three days later in an Elizabethville Hospital.

Prolific silent screen leading man with Carl Laemmle's IMP and with Selig Polyscope in the 1910's.
