I recall one particular picture where I was hiring keys, the guy came in for an interview and gave me a rate above scale. So I told him I couldn't hire him onto the production. ...He left rather upset. Then I got a phone call from him shortly after and he said: 'Marilyn, fine... I'll do the picture'. And I said: 'NO' ...Because I didn't want someone on the crew who didn't really want to be there.
