She is known best for playing Stanley Griff in the Playhouse Disney series, Stanley. According to her career in the anime dubbing business, Stone is most recognized for voicing young males, which is presumably why she has often credited herself as ''J.D. Stone'' instead of using her full name. Out of all the anime titles in which Stone has worked in, she has only voiced a handful of female characters: Midori the Raccoon (Angel Tales, 2002), the Child of the Asylum (Hellsing OVA, 2006) and Yuki (Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater, 2021).

She has a B.A. in Liberal Arts (Humanities and Performing Arts) from College of the Canyons, a public community college in Valencia, Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County, CA.

For her high school education, she attended Agua Dulce Academy (now iLEAD Agua Dulce, a public charter school in Agua Dulce, Los Angeles County, CA) where she received her High School Diploma, and State of California (now California High School in San Ramon, Contra Costa County) where she received her Certificate of Proficiency.

She has worked as an acting coach at Vibe Performing Arts, a performing arts school in Santa Clarita, CA.

In 2015, she was awarded an Ojai Art Center Four Star Award for Outstanding Featured Performance for her role as Honey in 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?'.

She works as an acting coach for young children at the Hollywood Artists of Visual Entertainment Performing Arts School in Los Angeles County, CA.

She took improvised (improv) classes at The Groundlings Theatre and School in Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA.

She grew up Jewish.

She has known Brittney Lee Harvey since she was three years old.

Shortly after being diagnosed with diabetes, she decided to help others who are also affected by the disease by volunteering at the Diabetic Youth Services and Camp Conrad Chinnock, for which she was awarded the Lily for Life Achievement Award in 2006.

In 2012, she won a Four Star Theater Alliance Award (honoring excellence in Ventura County community theater) for Outstanding Featured Performance for her role as Penny Pingleton in Hairspray, which was performed at the High Street Arts Center.

She is proficient in sign language.

In 2016, she auditioned for the sixth season of Veep (2012).
