A native of Valencia, California, Jessica D. Stone is an accomplished actress in film and television, a singer and dancer on stage in numerous theater productions, and a voice over artist in children's media, anime and video games. She started voice lessons at the ripe age of four at the VIBE Performing Arts School in Santa Clarita, and has also studied acting, musical theater, piano, and dance. Her most notable role, perhaps, is her work on the Playhouse Disney series, Stanley as the voice of Stanley Griff, though she has also lent her voice to Marcie in A Charlie Brown Valentine and Makoto in the Street Fighter games. As a child, she has appeared in various television series, such as Hannah Montana, 7th Heaven, Six Feet Under and Star Trek: Enterprise. She has years of experience in the Los Angeles performing arts scene, working with such stage companies as Cabrillo Music Theatre, Actors' Repertory Theatre of Simi, Kentwood Players, Showdown Stage Company and High Street Arts Center. While in high school, she was an honor student and overcame many challenges while managing her diabetes, volunteering her time to diabetes camps and continuing to pursue her passion for the arts in summer theater camps.

She is known best for playing Stanley Griff in the Playhouse Disney series, Stanley. According to her career in the anime dubbing business, Stone is most recognized for voicing young males, which is presumably why she has often credited herself as ''J.D. Stone'' instead of using her full name. Out of all the anime titles in which Stone has worked in, she has only voiced a handful of female characters: Midori the Raccoon (Angel Tales, 2002), the Child of the Asylum (Hellsing OVA, 2006) and Yuki (Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater, 2021).

[on playing Junior in R.O.D -THE TV-] Junior is a 13-year-old British boy, and he is a very challenging character to do the voice for. It is a fun part, but not an easy one because of both his British accent and his complicated personality... And though our personalities are very different, that's probably what makes playing Junior so interesting and enjoyable because I get to be someone totally unlike myself.
[on working in R.O.D -THE TV-] Unlike Junior, I love to read, and I often have two or three books going at the same time. The story is exciting and full of action. And I get to work with a lot of great people at the recording studio.
[on working in R.O.D -THE TV-] Voicing Junior was a highlight of my career! It's how I learned to do a British accent.
[on playing Yuki in Diary of Our Days] I love Yuki's attitude and dry sense of humor. She's very mischievous and often just tells it like it is. But she has a good heart. And those little fox ears when she's up to something are the best!
[on working during the pandemic] As much as I miss doing things in person, there's something to be said for going to acting class in your Cookie Monster PJ bottoms.
