- A 1992 graduate of the Academy for Theater and Film in Bucharest, class mentored by actor Florin Zamfirescu, she joined the State Jewish Theater of Bucharest, TES, in 1991. Luana took since parts in a wide range of plays, based on or by Georges Feydeau, Eugène Labiche, Arnold Wesker, Jacob Gordin, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Friedrich Dürrenmatt, and performed under the direction of Kincses Elemer, Alexander Hausvater, Moshe Yassur, Harry Eliad. At TES she performs in both Romanian and Yiddish.

- Luana also holds a degree in mathematics and one in political sciences from the faculties of Mathematics and Political Sciences, respectively, at the University of Bucharest, and took classes in semiotics and linguistics from Universita di Urbino, Italy, between 1990 and 1996.
