Biography

Tobias Stille already wrote his first screenplay at the age of 23 for young upcoming director Anno Saul for ZDF. After his graduation at Munich University he became the first trainee for Berlin based UFA Productions in creative producing and helped to transform this traditional production company to a modern player in both television and movie business. He soon produced Grimme-awards winning TV movies and started in the same time his career as writer-director. Since then he is writing, producing and directing his own stories for TV and screen. His recent work "Crossover" is a kaleidoscopic movie about refugees, running from Nazi Germany "yesterday" and coming to democratic Deutschland today - trying to establish a special fantastic realism in German filmmaking. Since 2019 he focused on creative producing for several German production companies. "Das Wunder von Kapstadt" (Starring Sonja Gerhardt, Alexander Scheer, Fritz Karl) won the "Hamburger Produzentenpreis", "Sterben für Beginner" (starring Edin Hasanovic, Max Hubacher, Svenja Jung) was completed in 2023 for ZDF.
