Robert Stigwood was born on April 16, 1934 in Port Pirie, South Australia, Australia. He was a producer, known for Evita (1996), Gallipoli (1981) and Grease 2 (1982). He died on January 4, 2016 in London, England, UK.

International music impresario who variously managed Cream, The Bee Gees and Eric Clapton and brought Saturday Night Fever (1977), Grease (1978) and Jesus Christ Superstar (1973) to the screen. He launched the RSO Records label, which included Clapton's "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" and the soundtracks for Fame (1980) and Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980).

In 1998, the Sunday Times estimated his fortune at £175 million.
