Wynn Stewart was born on June 7, 1934 in Morrisville, Missouri, USA. He was an actor, known for The Devil All the Time (2020), From Nashville with Music (1969) and The Porter Wagoner Show (1961). He died on July 17, 1985 in Hendersonville, Tennessee, USA.

Along with fellow country singers Merle Haggard and Buck Owens, helped to popularize the "Bakersfield Sound," a California-influenced sound of country.

Had a steady string of hits from the 1950s through 1970s, but his only No. 1 hit on Billboard magazine's country singles chart was "It's Such a Pretty World Today" (1967). Other notable hits included "Wishful Thinking" (1960) and "After the Storm" (1976).

Released "Above and Beyond," which was also a major hit for Buck Owens (1960) and Rodney Crowell (1989).
