Biography

George Stewart was born on June 27, 1906 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for Gilded Lies (1921), The Abysmal Brute (1923) and Mind the Paint Girl (1919). He died on December 25, 1945 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.

A promising young actor in silents, he was bedridden after a drunken fight with his brother-in-law, Ralph Ince (married to Lucille Lee Stewart). A second sister, actress Anita Stewart, looked after him until his death. All three siblings worked together in their youth at Vitagraph.
