Philip Stevenson was born on December 31, 1896 in New York, New York, USA. He was a writer, known for Story of G.I. Joe (1945), The Man from Cairo (1953) and Counter-Attack (1945). He died on September 30, 1965 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, USSR.

Buried in New Mexico.

Wrote under the pen name of Lars Lawrence after being blacklisted.
