Biography

Dick Sterling was born on December 5, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was an actor, known for Mako: The Jaws of Death (1976), The Jackie Gleason Show (1966) and The Pilot (1980). He was married to Reeva Ina Hurwitz, Vivian Grey Lloyd and Florence Adele Pushkin. He died on September 2, 2000 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Father of Mindy Sterling from the "Austin Powers" films. He always encouraged his daughter to perform. She credits him with giving her the timing to be a successful comedian.

Former stand-up comedy partner of Shecky Greene, in Chicago.

Dick Sterling made his debut on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts (1948) show, as a singer. Later, they both lived in Miami and would reminisce when they would see each other.
