Biography

Jeffrey Stephan

Mini bio

  • SAG-AFTRA member since 1986.

A native of Canton, Ohio, Jeff served in the United States Marine Corps from 1973-1978. After a move to California in 1979, Jeff spent time in the fashion industry, moving to Europe for two years, falling in love with Spain, Italy, Germany, France, and Austria. Tokyo followed, then a move to Pittsburgh of all places!

The film industry was hot in the Burgh. Jeff started working as an extra on many television shows and films, then as a stand-in, because he wanted to get closer to the action. Richard Crenna, Walter Matthau, Nick Nolte, Jeff Fahey, and then, Bruce Willis. The Bruce Willis gig turned into three years and six movies, and after Pulp Fiction, he went to work with John Travolta on GET SHORTY and BROKEN ARROW.

Always on the lookout for a good story, they just started coming, and didn't stop! It was happenstance that brought Producer Brain Hartman and his Director-son Cody to Jeff with their project, UNSINKABLE, TITANIC UNTOLD. Instant Producer role, and more respect for the process. Now, with Writer/Producer Mark Golik, we take on the story based on the book by Tom Friend, THE CHICKEN RUNS AT MIDNIGHT.
