Biography

Seymour Stein was born on April 18, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York USA. He was an actor and producer, known for Dick Tracy (1990), Wild Orchid (1989) and Traveller (1997). He was married to Linda Stein. He died on April 2, 2023 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Founder of Sire Records.

In the mid-1980s, his favorite recording artists were David Byrne and Madonna Ciccone, who both recorded for Sire Records.

Apprenticed under Syd Nathan of King Records in Cincinnati.

With his wife, Linda Stein, Seymour is the father of Mandy Stein.
